- Great characters but weak and sometimes confusing plotting
- Not a lot of fighting or action
- Even tough Cottonmouth seemed promising as the villain in the beginning of the season he and the rest of the villains were disappointing
- Even with its flaws the show was enjoyable but it is my least favorite of the 3 Marvel Netflix shows
- It builds a very tangible atmosphere
- The concept of a superhero who is a black man wearing a hoodie is very timely and Marvel uses this show to make some great social justice statements
- Luke Cage is marvel’s first true street crime hero who fights regular humans and criminals unlike Daredevil who fights ninjas and Jessica Jones who fought a metahuman
- Black Panther has promise but was underutilized in Captain America Civil War. Luke Cage is the black superhero that we need and that we deserve.

- The end games of the villains begin although their end games are confusing and foolish for the most part
- We finally learn more about Reva
- Method Man has an incredible cameo
- The show brings its social justice messages home in great ways
- Netflix is definitely anticipating a season 2 for Luke Cage
- The season ends quietly
Westworld Episode 1 Review: A-
- Ambitious and fascinating
- A fully realized science fiction fantasy world
- Artificial intelligence continues to rule pop culture and I am pumped about that
- A bit of Groundhog Day happening here in a good way
- Ed Harris is terrifying as a Westworld visitor
- This looks like it could be the breakout role that Evan Rachel Wood has deserved for a long time
- The last shot is chilling and perfect
- I can’t wait for episode 2
Luke Cage Episodes 4-6 Review: B+
- Mandatory flashback episode where Luke Cage has a full head of hair
- Prison fight club
- We actually get to see the original Power Man costume!
- Luke Cage make’s Harlem’s fight his fight
- Still slow moving but it is an entertaining tapestry of a show
Luke Cage Episodes 1-3 Review: B+
- Slow start
- Mike Colter continues to be great as the cool, smoldering Luke Cage
- Ali Shaheed Muhammad’s (A Tribe Called Quest) score is amazing and creates the perfect atmosphere for the show
- Mahershala Ali’s Cottonmouth seems like another excellent, layered villain that will rival the Kingpin, Punisher, and Kilgrave
- Not a lot of fight scenes in the first 2 episodes but episode 3 does not disappoint on the action front
- The show has a lot of heart. More heart than Daredevil or Jessica Jones
